Thankful Thursday

This was taken on Saturday (37 weeks) just before a wonderful dinner alone with my husband. It was my first day with no bed rest at all and it was SO nice to get out and spend some time with him before the new baby is born. We had a lovely dinner at Outback while Nana and Papa watched Bear Cub.

I had a good visit with my OB today. Despite the chubbiness in my face in the picture above, I've only gained 13 lbs - which is fine with me. Less to lose later! ***GROSS FEMALE DETAILS*** I'm 50% effaced and dilated to 1.5, which makes me very, very happy.

Though we are going through a very difficult time with the Teen, I'm so thankful for a wonderful husband who has been handling some of the toughest things and making decisions that I just can't make. It is so reassuring to know that God is sovereign over all of these things, and that my job is to pray for and submit to my husband, and that I can trust God to work through him.

15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

  1. 37 weeks, praise God! You are almost there! You look so very pretty!

I am blessed (so blessed) to hear that your husband is making the decisions your heart cannot make..what a refreshing thing to read..that in the midst of struggle, you still allow him to be the husband!

I am praying for your impending birth (great job dilating and effacing...woo hoo!) and over the situation with your son.

    God bless!

  2. Jessica,
I can't see the "chubby face" you referred to, but I do see a most beautiful Mommy just waiting to meet her new gift from the LORD! I'm so glad to hear how well all is going. Can you believe it? My heart rejoices at the ways God has preserved you through so much. Love and hugs, my friend.

Your comments are such a blessing to me.

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
