Saturday Snapshots 5.21.11

We saw these while we are out for our walk Tuesday morning.

Yes, wild turkeys.

For you rural folks its probably no big deal, but that's not something we see often in The Big City.

  1. I am amazed at how much "wild" life I see now that I live in the city compared to how much I saw growing up in the country, way more now! Very cool pictures!

  2. We often see wild turkeys, but I must admit, I've never seen them in "the big city"- very cool!

  3. I used to see wild turkeys when I drove the long, lonely drive between Washington and Arizona. In a city, though, that must have been quite a sight!!

  4. That's really crazy...I looked...and then looked closer...are those turkeys???
I've never in my life seen a wandering wild turkey :)

  5. Jessica,
While looking at this post, my 5 year old said, "Oh, Mommy, look at the really sweet baby!" :) I like how she noticed your baby before the turkey.

  6. We don't see them in my neck of the woods (southern NC countryside), but when we were in Kansas visiting my dad, it's common to see them there. Kids got a huge kick out of it!

Your comments are such a blessing to me.

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
