Pray for Bob DeWaay - Critical Update

Thank you for your continued prayer and support for my Dad. He condition today is critical, still has pneumonia in both lungs.He's been breathing with a bipap (breathing machine), and we were warned last night that he would might have to be intubated and put on a ventilator. The doctor was ready to do that overnight, but he really doesn't want that and the doctor was willing to wait a bit. That still might have to happen if things don't turn around soon. Please pray that he will allow that to happen peacefully if it becomes necessary.

His hemoglobin dropped to 6, so he was given a couple of units of blood. His white count is down to .9, so he has no immune system and there's nothing they can do about this.

We have the results of one of the cultures and that showed the presence of streptococcus in his lungs. They will now use antibiotics that target strep, in hopes that eliminating the others will help his white count rebound. We are still waiting on a lot of other tests.

He cannot have visitors, and he cannot talk at this point but we do appreciate all of your messages and prayers.

1 I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?

2 My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who keeps Israel
Will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade on your right hand.
6 The sun will not smite you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord will protect you from all evil;
He will keep your soul.
8 The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in
From this time forth and forever.
-Psalm 121

  5. Praying for Bob. I have been so blessed and strengthened by his common sense and straight forward biblical teaching. Just love him even though I don't know him personally. A true brother. May God grant him strength to endure, healing according to His will, peace of mind and heart. Love from a brother in Christ in British Columbia, holding the line together, Ernie.

  6. I've never met him but have watched videos with him in them and thought he was a wonderful man and spoke truth. Lord please heal our brother in Christ if it be your will. Please comfort him and his family through this hard time and allow them to feel the peace that passeth all understanding. Amen Get Well Soon Bro. Bob

Your comments are such a blessing to me.

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
