Thankful Thursday - Titus 2 Women

Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored. Titus 2:3-5

Titus 2 women are such a blessing. It's so important to have older women in the church who are willing to reach out to young women, giving biblical counsel and encouraging us as we raise our children, love our husbands, and walk in obedience to God's Word.

I'm thankful for all of the Titus 2 women in my life. I'm so blessed to have such wonderful group of women in my church. They have been such an encouragement to me over the last few years.

I am also thankful for the Titus 2 women in the blogosphere. One who has been a real blessing to me is Wendy over at Faith's Firm Foundation. She is a stay-at-home homeschool mother of two grown children. Her posts inspire and encourage. She offers biblical advice on child rearing, caring for our husbands and our homes, hospitality, prayer, and much more. Please take a minute to stop by her blog.

Thank you to Laurie at Women Taking a Stand for hosting Thankful Thursday this month.

  1. May we all seek to be a Titus 2 woman. The amazing thing about it...is none of us are too young or too old to strive to be one. No matter what age we find ourselves, there is always someone younger who needs mentoring and guiding. May someone see something in me that is worthy to follow. Great TT post! :)

  4. It is a blessing for you to have a woman like that in your life. I strive to be that way! I don't have anyone to look up to and am thankful for others here in the blogging world that fill in for what I lack here! Thanks for the link too! Happy TT!

  5. When I was younger, God placed such women in my life. And, now that I am one of those older ladies, my prayer is that I can bless others in return.

Very sweet post and tribute to your friend!

    Blessings to you!

  6. I am blessed and humbled by your words, Jessica. You young moms are the unsung heroes, raising tomorrow's leaders, and I am thankful that I can say a word here and there to encourage.

The important thing to remember whether young or older is that there's not one day, not one minute, that goes by that we do it on our own--we need Jesus! And by His grace we'll be triumphant overcomers, finishing the course to hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Glad to be running alongside you.
    Blessings,
    Wendy

Your comments are such a blessing to me.

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
